We are Hiring…Charlevoix County Commission on Aging is seeking a full-time Food Service Manager. This position is Monday through Friday, 7:30a – 4:30p for up to 40 hours a week. No holidays or weekends. This position functions as the supervisor of the entire COA nutritional program; for providing a successful nutrition program that includes Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals and Special Even Meals for the Commission on Aging. This position is also responsible for the day to day ordering, training, testing and back up cooking and cleaning within the Senior Center kitchens. This position based out of the Commission on Aging Office but works within all Charlevoix County Senior Center locations. The right person needs have track record of high-quality customer service, and we would prefer an Associates Degree in nutrition, culinary arts, or Certification in Dietary Management or the equivalent experience and training. We are looking for a Team builder, great communicator, strong collaborator and innovative thinker who is outgoing, dependable, and flexible. You must possess the physical abilities to lift to 50 pounds maximum and transfer items to and from vehicles and/or dining and office facilities. You must possess a valid driver’s license to travel from one location to another. Mileage will be paid if a Fleet or County vehicle is unavailable.
