The Charlevoix Conservation District provides the public a point of access to natural resource management, as well as a local source of conservation products. The delivery of these services benefits the citizens and the environment in Charlevoix County.

Conservation products offered by the District include (but are not limited to) the following items.

Animal Repellent

Plantskydd Animal Repellent

This product is a new item for Spring 2003.
Animals avoid plants BEFORE they bite - not after! 100% Natural Product/Environment Friendly. Non-toxic, no synthectic additives, not harmful to animals. RAINFAST IN 24 HOURS.

Plantskydd's effectiveness is attributable to its tenacity in sticking to plants, even under severe snow/rainfall conditions: 6+ months over winter; 4+ months with a spring or summer application.
(Note: plants exhibiting rapid initial growth will require earlier reapplication.)

1 liter spray bottle: treats 80-100 seedlings
1 lb. soluble powder concentrate: treats 200-300 seedlings (dipping) or 125-225 seedlings (spraying)

Beachgrass is sold in bundles of 500 plants (culms/plugs). This is NOT an exact number. Bundles are typically generous bundles of at least 500 plugs. If you would like to purchase beachgrass, please complete the form below. Orders can be placed throughout the year, but will be deferred until the next harvest season.

Planting Gel

Top

Water retention aid. This gelatinized, non-toxic gel is designed to increase the moisture retention of plants and soil. It has the ability to absorb, release and reabsorb water for several months. Sold in 1 ounce increments. (4 oz. will dip 1000 seedlings)
NOTE: Not recommended for fall plantings.

Cost: $2.00 ounce
