The Charlevoix Conservation District has started a library of resource related books. These items may be borrowed by anyone interested in the material.
Currently, the library consists of a complete set of Ranger Rick's Nature Scope, by the National Wildlife Federation. The set includes: BIRDS, BIRDS, BIRDS ASTRONOMY ADVENTURES RAIN FORESTS: TROPICAL TREASURES DISCOVERING DESERTS WILD ABOUT WEATHER TREES ARE TERRIFIC! POLLUTION PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS ENDANGERED SPECIES: WILD AND RARE LET'S HEAR IT FOR HERPS! AMAZING MAMMALS PART I & II DIVING INTO OCEANS WILD & CRAFTY WADING INTO WETLANDS
We also have a 3-ring binder titled Managing Michigan's Wildlife: A Landowner's Guide. This document includes chapters on: Habitat Planning; Forest Management; Wetlands Management; Grassland Management; Cropland Management; Backyard Management; Species Management; and a Resource Directory. Created by Private Land Partnerships Working Together For Wildlife, each chapter includes 4-page pamphlets on specific topics.
