Michigan Water Stewardship Program
The Michigan Water Stewardship Program is a cooperative effort designed to reduce the risks of groundwater contamination associated with the use of pesticides and nitrogen fertilizers. The Michigan Water Stewardship Program receives funding through the sales of pesticides and fertilizers.
The Michigan Water Stewardship Program is a cooperative effort between: Michigan Department of Agriculture; Michigan State University; USDA Natural Resources Conservation Serivce; Michigan Conservation Districts; AmeriCorps National Service.
The MWSP is a voluntary program and services are free and confidential! Providing both agricultural and residential programming, the agricultural programs are provided by groundwater technicians, and the residential programs are carried out by AmeriCorps members.
