We are very pleased to report the spraying contract for
Norwood Township has been awarded to the JF New Company.
Their contract includes all Lake Michigan shoreline in
both Emmet and Charlevoix Counties.  The spraying for 2010
is being done with grant money, at no cost to property 
owners.  Money currently in our Phragmites Fund will be used
for future treatment of phragmites.

JF New will be spraying in Charlevoix County beginning the
end of August.  Since they will begin in the Petoskey area
and work their way south, Norwood will probably be on the
spraying schedule in early September.  Spraying dates are
flexible due to changing weather conditions.  Again, the
same as last year, signs will be posted along the shoreline
when spraying occurs.
