What We Do:
The Equalization Department assists the Board of Commissions in reviewing real and personal property assessments to ensure that all property has been equally and uniformly assessed at 50% of its true cash value. In addition, the department is responsible for assigning parcel identification numbers and 911 addresses for properties within the county's 15 townships, and maintaining accurate legal descriptions and ownership records for each parcel of real and personal property.
